When the Tar Heels play in Chapel Hill, Tar Heel Town is the place to be for football pregame festivities.
Students, families, alumni and the local community are invited to attend, regardless of where you plan to watch the game.
Activities include the Old Well Walk, the Bell Tower Climb, face painting, visits with Rameses, traditional barbecue and much more.

Countdown to Kickoff Show
Listen live to the pregame radio show. This is your chance to hear the scouting report for each Saturday's game and see former Tar Heel greats as they share their experiences from years past.
Old Well Walk
The Old Well Walk is a Carolina tradition and begins approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes prior to kickoff. Starting at the Old Well on Cameron Avenue, the
Tar Heels make their way to Kenan Stadium. The Marching Tar Heels, cheerleaders and Rameses will be there too. Grab a spot along the route to cheer the Heels to victory.
Climb the Bell Tower
Stop by the General Alumni Association's (GAA) tent, located next to the Bell Tower, climb the Bell Tower to enjoy the view and have your face painted to show your Tar Heel spirit.
For the Virginia Tech game
Kenan Amphitheatre opens at 10a.m. with Liquid Pleasure providing the entertainment along with a giant television showing college football games from around the country. Chapel Hill Sportswear and several Food Trucks will be in the amphitheatre as well.
Department of Athletics / The Rams Club Tent
Visit the Carolina athletics and Rams Club tent to pick up giveaways and sports information. You might have a chance to get autographs from current Tar Heel student athletes.
Interactive games and tours
Participate in interactive games provided by Carolina sponsors. Enjoy inflatable games, interactive tour displays, climbing walls and much more.
Food and beverages
Tar Heel Town always provides a wide variety of food and drink options. Whether you're seeking beverages, snacks, lunch or dinner, you'll have your choice right in the heart of campus. Parker's Barbecue of Wilson offers a barbecue plate with all the fixin's and a beverage for just $8.
